Agreement to Terms
By booking a service with Magic Carpet Steam Cleaning ("we," "us," or "our"), accessing our website at magiccarpetsteamcleaning.com, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by this Service Agreement and these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or website. Magic Carpet Steam Cleaning is owned and operated by Ken Wong and is based in Honolulu, Hawaii, serving the island of Oahu.
Payments
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. We accept cash, Venmo, or local bank checks. We are not accepting credit cards at this time.
- Returned check fee: $35 for any check returned by the bank.
- Late fee: 15% interest on any unpaid balance after 30 days, and each subsequent month.
- Travel fee:$60–$90 may apply for service outside of our standard service areas.
Appointments
Due to the nature of the business, appointment times are estimates only and may be subject to change. We may arrive early or be delayed due to customer readiness, traffic, or weather, and we may need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control. We will keep you informed and contact you as soon as possible.
48-Hour Cancellation & No-Show Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours before your appointment time to avoid a $250 cancellation fee. Our appointments are guaranteed and limited on a first-come, first-served basis.
We do not overbook our schedule, so that we can ensure prompt, reliable, quality service for our customers. If you are considering another provider based on a low phone quote, please be sure they are reliable, certified, licensed, and insured.
By booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to pay up to $250 for cancellation or no-show within 48 hours of your appointment.

Pre-Inspection & Post-Inspection
Pre-Inspection: It is important that you or your agent be present for the pre-cleaning inspection before we begin work, and that you return for the post-cleaning inspection.
Post-Inspection: Please take your time with the post-inspection. Any damages must be reported immediately. If you choose not to be present for the post-inspection, you will be deemed to have accepted the work as satisfactory, and no claims can be made afterwards.
Servicing & Equipment
Whenever possible we use our truck-mounted cleaning system. Otherwise, we use a professional-grade portable steam cleaning machine.
We may not be able to service homes on steep slopes, hillsides, or unpaved roads, walk-up apartments without elevators, or any location that is difficult to access with our truck-mount equipment beyond 50 feet from our van to your door.
Cleaning Process & Expectations
Our cleaning process will remove most soil, water-based stains, grease, oils, and organic matter, and will expose the true condition of your carpet, upholstery, or flooring. Worn, bleached, or discolored areas will remain the same after cleaning.
Unknown or undisclosed pet odor or urine contamination may resurface and may require additional treatment to eliminate the source. Some spots may or may not be removable, in which case they are considered "stains." Stain removal and pet urine sub-surface treatment are notincluded in standard cleaning, and results will vary depending on the carpet's age, condition, and how well it has been maintained.
Wicking or rapid resoiling may occur in heavily soiled carpets and from unknown or undisclosed pre-existing contamination beyond the surface area.
Special Offers & Pricing
Special offers and services may not be available in all areas. An "area" is defined as a room up to 100 square feet. Combination areas and areas over 100 square feet are considered separate areas. Bathrooms, staircases, landings, halls, walk-in closets, and area rugs are priced separately.
Special offers are valid for residential areas only. Prices may vary for specialty fabrics, wool and oriental rugs, and special services. A service charge may be added. Special offers may expire at any time and are not valid with any other coupon, offer, or discount, nor on previously scheduled or completed services. Services must be performed during normal business hours. Other restrictions may apply — please call for details. Void where prohibited.
30-Day Clean Carpet Guarantee
You can count on Magic Carpet Steam Cleaning for your satisfaction. Contact us within 30 days of the date of service and we will make our best effort to resolve your concerns. We must be permitted to inspect and remedy your concerns. This guarantee is null and void if any subsequent cleaning service has been performed.
Our 30-day clean carpet guarantee ensures that we perform the proper cleaning techniques according to industry standards, inform you of what the cleaning process includes, and set realistic expectations of any potential problems. It does not guarantee unknown, undisclosed, or pre-existing conditions (pet odor, stains, wicking) that are beyond our control.
Customer Disclosures
Please inform us before service of any known issues, including asbestos, prior flooding, fleas, ticks, bedbugs, plumbing, electrical, inoperable windows, lights, fans, air conditioners, drapes, or blinds. You agree not to hold us liable for pre-existing plumbing, electrical, or switch issues or for any problems that may arise due to normal use.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service in the following situations: no available parking, an unsafe work environment, signs of mold or mildew, live infestations of fleas, ticks, or bedbugs, or unreasonable demands.
Safety Warnings
- Minimize foot traffic during and after cleaning to prevent slip-and-fall injuries.
- Keep pets and children away from work areas and equipment to prevent burns or other serious injuries.
Before We Arrive
Please follow these simple instructions to ensure your cleaning goes smoothly and on time, without interruptions.
- Clear the areas to be cleaned of loose debris and personal items. We can assist with some light furniture moving, but please provide sliders so items can be moved easily. We do not move beds, entertainment systems, or large heavy items.
- Pre-vacuum thoroughly (residential customers) to remove debris and pet hair. We may not be able to service you if excessive pet hair has not been removed. Pet hair removal is not part of our cleaning service.
- Notify building managers and security if applicable, and arrange for parking with a minimum height clearance of 6 feet 10 inches. You may be required to sponsor us on a military base.
- For homes, apartments, or high-rise buildings above two floors that are not accessible with our truck-mount equipment within 50 feet of hose to your front door, we will require electricity and the hot water heater to be turned on 30 minutes before we arrive, with open access to your kitchen and nearest bathroom for our portable cleaning equipment.
- Rental agents and property managers: please ensure your tenants receive a copy of these instructions.
After We Leave — Drying Instructions
Please follow these simple instructions to ensure proper drying:
- Allow good air circulation for 4–6 hours. Depending on weather conditions, it may take up to 24 hours for carpets and upholstery to be completely dry.
- You may close windows and doors and turn on fans, and set your air conditioner fan to the "ON" position to speed up drying, especially during rain or in damp areas.
- Do not place furniture with wood or metal legs back on the carpet until it is completely dry.
- We recommend using plastic sliders under wood or metal furniture legs to prevent future staining.
- Minimize foot traffic during and after the cleaning until the carpet is completely dry, to prevent re-soiling and slip-and-fall injuries.
You must return for the post-cleaning inspection. If you choose not to be present, you will be deemed to have accepted the work as satisfactory, and no claims can be made afterwards.

By submitting an application through our careers page, you certify that the information you provide is true and complete to the best of your knowledge. False or misleading statements may result in withdrawal of any offer or termination of employment.

Limitation of Liability
Magic Carpet Steam Cleaning is licensed and insured in the State of Hawaii. We take every precaution to prevent damage to your property. However, the following limitations apply:
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or conditions, including worn carpet fibers, color fading, delamination, seam separation, or damage from prior improper cleaning.
- Some stains (such as certain dye stains, bleach marks, and permanent discoloration) may not be fully removable through steam cleaning. We will advise you before proceeding if we believe a stain is unlikely to come out.
- We are not liable for damage to items left in the work area that were not moved prior to cleaning, including electronics, fragile items, and valuables.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Magic Carpet Steam Cleaning shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.

The content on magiccarpetsteamcleaning.com, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Magic Carpet Steam Cleaning and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.
Our website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date, but do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any information.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall be filed in the state or federal courts located in Honolulu, Hawaii, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services or website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
